A metadata clean-up, not an AI-label guarantee. Instagram may still add a label. Invisible watermarks aren’t detected or removed.

ONE PHOTO OR A WHOLE BATCHWe strip supported metadata like editing history and location tags. Right in your browser.
NO UPLOAD. NO WAITING ROOM.Download clean copies with the same image data. Your original photos stay exactly where they are.
FULL QUALITY. ZERO RECOMPRESSION.Sometimes your editor packs a little extra: location, camera details, editing history, or AI provenance. Even a small edit can leave metadata behind.
We clean up those supported file extras. Your pixels stay put. Instagram’s labeling decision stays with Instagram.
Let’s clear a few things up* We retain a minimal orientation tag if needed to keep your photo upright. Container inspection isn’t signature verification. Cleanup can remove attribution and provenance, so keep your original.

There is no guarantee. Meta says it uses industry signals and user disclosures for labels. Removing metadata changes only some possible signals; Instagram’s other detection and labeling decisions are outside this tool’s control. This does not update an existing post. Follow Instagram’s disclosure requirements when posting AI-generated content.
An editor may add provenance metadata even when AI was used for a small change. Meta has acknowledged labels on minor AI retouching and says it distinguishes AI-edited and AI-generated content. A metadata container alone does not prove that an image was generated by AI.
No. Photo bytes are processed locally in a browser worker. There is no upload endpoint, account, analytics, or remotely hosted font. The host receives ordinary website requests and may keep access logs, but does not receive your photos. Clearing the list or closing the tab releases the app’s photo references; downloads remain on your device.
No recompression is used for supported JPEG, PNG and WebP files. The compressed image data is preserved. We retain rendering information such as color profiles, transparency, animation chunks and necessary EXIF orientation. Other ancillary information, including captions, credits, thumbnails and provenance, may be removed.
This version supports JPEG, PNG and WebP only. Export other photo formats to JPEG or PNG first using your photo app. That conversion may change quality; Transfa itself does not perform the conversion. Files must be 25 MB or smaller.
No. Those signals are embedded in the image content rather than ordinary metadata. This tool neither tests for them nor removes them. A clean metadata report does not mean “not AI” or guarantee an unlabeled Instagram post.
